Welcome and thank you for visiting the site of "Ladies In Waiting,Inc." Definition: Lady - 1) A well-mannered and considerate woman with high standards of proper behavior. 2) A woman regarded as proper and virtuous We are an organization helping girls prepare for the next stage of their lives, "womanhood". As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization we are geared toward the enrichment and empowerment of girls in the Metro Atlanta area, through Group Mentoring & Rap Sessions, Arts, Recreation & Cultural field trips, Life Skills Training, Etiquette & Manners Training and Academic Support to develop a well rounded individual. Our goals are to decrease the cycle of teen pregnancy, reduce the use of drugs & alcohol among teenage girls, eliminate the need for girls to participate in gang related activity and increase the number of females who attend post secondary institutions. |
